Visit of students from HWR Berlin

On 1st November students of HWR University from Berlin visited the Mosque with their teacher. These students will be future police officers and are learning law as well. After my presentation, they had very interesting questions to ask. A copy of the German translation of the Holy Quran was presented to the teacher.

Participation in Peace Concert

On 2nd November Allah provided me the opportunity to participate in an international Concert for Peace to commemorate 100 years of the end of World War One. I was asked to give the Adhan. The programme was organized in the Mercedes-Benz Arena and was attended by 7000 people. This programme was broadcast on various TV channels in UK, Germany etc. More than 30,000 people had watched this programme.

Visit of Primary school

On 5th November students of a primary school visited the Mosque with their teacher. Children were informed about Islam and the purpose of the Mosque. They sang songs and enjoyed the trip.

Group of old people

On November 8 a group of old people visited the Mosque. After my presentation, a very interesting question-answer session was conducted.

Into the fold of Islam

On 10th November Ms. Denise Maertin took Shahada and came into fold of Islam. She was given the Islamic name Hala. A copy of the Holy Quran and other translations were presented to her. We pray that may Allah help her to lead a successful and pious life.

Meeting of Mayor

On 20th November an Interfaith meeting under the leadership of the Mayor of our district Mr. Reinhard Naummann was held in our Mosque. It was the 1st of the Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awal and I was asked to give a presentation about Islam and our Mission. Activities of our Mission were appreciated by all participants. The programme started with a recitation from the Holy Quran by the Imam of the Seituna Mosque. Later on, the President of the Seituna Mosque gave a presentation about the life of the Holy Prophet. We arranged refreshments for all participants.

Conference of all Religions

On 22nd November the annual Conference of All Religions was held in the main Town Hall of Berlin. It is the annual conference organized by the interfaith organization in which ministers and senators also address the audience. I participated and represented the AAIIL.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations

On 24th November Eid Milad-un-Nabi programme was organized in the Mosque. It was a successful event in which men, women and children participated. I delivered a speech about the life and morals of the Holy Prophet. Later on Arab guests recited an Arabic Qasida followed by a brief speech and prayer by brother Ahmed Khurshid. I thank Saleena Aziz for helping me arranging the programme.

Group from Church

On 29th November a group from the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt Church from Berlin visited the Mosque. After my presentation, a question-answer session was conducted. A copy of the Holy Quran was presented to the group leader.

Visit of School

On 5th December a group of middle school students visited the Mosque.  After a presentation, a question-answer session was conducted. A copy of the German translation of the Holy Quran was presented to the accompanying teacher for the school library.

Into the fold of Islam

On 12th December, a Norwegian lady, Ms. Mary Joseph, accepted Islam in the Mosque. She was given the Islamic name Zahra. She was presented with a copy of the English translation of the Holy Quran. May Allah help her to live a successful life and help her to learn the teachings of Islam!
