School visit
On 6th July Evangelic School Berlin visited the Mosque and stayed for one hour. After a presentation, a question-answer session was conducted. A copy of the German translation of the Holy Quran was presented for
the school library.
Visitor from Ukraine
On 18th July a very dedicated Muslim lady with her family visited the Mosque. She was very much interested in the Russian Translation of the Holy Quran. She was presented a copy of Russian translation of the Holy Quran for which she thanked AAIIL.
Represented Pakistan
On 18th July in the evening, I was asked to give talk about Pakistan’s geography, culture, traditions and community life. The German audience appreciated the presentation and the Pakistani food which was prepared by Pakistani
community.
Visit of University Prof from Iraq
On 23rd July a University Professor from Iraq visited the Mosque. He prayed and later asked for Arabic books of Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ali which were presented.
Interfaith Programme
On 27th July an interfaith programme was organized by HWPL. We talked about the authenticity of religious scriptures. I talked about the authenticity of the Quran and all the different phases in which it was collected and preserved. It was a useful programme in which representatives of three religions talked about their religious scriptures.
August 2019
Archive Project
With the blessings of Allah, on 1st August we started packing all archival material and on 6th August it was transferred to the National Archive of Germany. Dr. Gerdien Jonker and I took the material to the National Archive. It was taken to the place allocated for the Mosque. Al-hamdu-lillah, our material is in safe hands and will be digitized first and later uploaded to the website of the National Archive. Dr.Gerdien Jonker, Sabina Aziz, Harrisa Aziz and even Furqan Aziz (the youngest member) worked very hard. May Allah bless them all.
Participation in Demonstration
On 10th August, a solidarity demonstration with the people of Kashmir was organized in Berlin. I participated in the demonstration to show our concern for human rights violations.
Eid-ul-Adha
On 11th August Eid-ul-Adha was celebrated with religious fervour. Muslims from Germany, Holland, African countries, Afghanistan, Syria, Egypt, Pakistan, Turkey, Yemen, Iraq, Ukraine and Suriname participated. Later a party was organized to celebrate Eid. People stayed till Zuhr prayer and enjoyed the day. I am grateful to Mr and Mrs. Yasir Aziz from Portugal and Ms. Galida Badoella from Suriname who specially came to Berlin and helped us in arranging the Eid programme. May Allah bless them for their efforts.

Visit of Prof. from Japan
On 8th August Prof. Kobayashi Yasuko from Japan visited the Mosque and stayed for one week in Berlin. She is doing research about the AAIIL Indonesia. She also participated in the Friday prayer and later celebrated Eid-ul-Adha in the Berlin Mosque. She asked for contacts in Indonesia and recently visited AAIIL Jakarta branch.
Visit of Volks Hoch Schule, Berlin
On 15th August students of Volkshoch School visited the Mosque. After a presentation, a question-answer session was held. All questions were answered. Students showed interest in the discussion.
Workshop about Dementia
On 24th August a workshop about Dementia was organized in the Mosque by Geistliches Zentrum Berlin. More than 26 people participated in the workshop. At the start there was a presentation about the history of the Mosque and the AAIIL. It was the fourth consecutive workshop organized in the Mosque. Participants thanked us for the very comfortable environment.
Interfaith Programme
On 28th August an interfaith programme was organized by HWPL. The topic of the programme was the concept of life and death in religion. I had the opportunity to represent Islam.
Visitors from USA and elsewhere
On 22nd August Mr. and Mrs. Zafar Abdullah from USA visited the Mosque after attending the convention in UK. They stayed for three days and attended the Friday prayer. It was very nice to host this very lively couple.
From 19th August my brother Abid Aziz from USA also visited the Mosque after attending the convention in UK. He stayed for a week and helped us a lot.
Ms. Galida Badoella from Suriname and Ms.Gowsia Saleem from India visited the Berlin Mosque and helped us a lot in organizing the Open Days.
Visit of Hazrat Ameer Dr A.K. Saeed
On 31st August Hazrat Ameer Dr A.K. Saeed, Head of the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement, arrived in Berlin after attending the UK convention and a successful trip to Holland. He stayed for 15 days in Berlin and we benefited from his precious presence. Details of his visit will be presented in September report.
